A NATIVE PLANTS & POLLINATOR PROTECTION INITIATIVE

A partnership of the Cedar Tree Institute with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community & Marquette county’s Chocolay Township, with invited guests from the intertribal community of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

10am – 1pm: Presentations & Lunch

1 – 4pm: Blessing the Earth

A planting of medicinal native grasses & 500 Northern White Cedar trees. Framed by a traditional ceremony blessing a strategic plan for the township Kawbawgam Park and the Beaver Grove Agricultural Site.
